Engagement Global – Local Development Cooperation

Animation for One World

With the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda, the United Nations has presented a roadmap for globally sustainable development. Goal 11 places direct responsibility on local communities – because it is at the local level that the global goals must be implemented. In addition, cities, counties and local authorities, as the level closest to the citizens, make sustainable action a concrete reality.
In addition to local commitment, municipalities can benefit from joint projects and the exchange of experience with their partners in the Global South. The Service Agency Communities in One World supports you in your commitment to globally sustainable development.

Together with Engagement Global, we have designed this information film to inform actors in municipalities in Germany about opportunities.

STORY

The film shows in several examples how local action has a global impact. All communities around the world can learn from each other and have a positive impact by acting sustainably not only locally – but everywhere. Various examples demonstrate what this looks like in concrete terms. People, organizations and communities are addressed in equal measure.

DESIGN & ANIMATION

The design must be able to reach a wide range of viewers. It was important to show concrete examples, but also abstract processes and dependencies. Thus, the representation of the municipality was an important point, because here abstract and concrete are united.
